Restrictions for breeding Dogue de Bordeaux in DK

 

  Breed number DKK: 116

 

 
  Group: 2  
  Minimum age at x-ray:  
  18 months for both sexes at Hip x-rays.  
  12 months for both sexes at Elbow x-rays

 

 
  The breed has to meet the following restrictions to be recognized for breeding:  
  Demand for hip-result:  
  Offspring can only be registered in DKK for pedigree, as long as both parents,   
  before the mating, has had their hips x-rayed and have an official HD-result registered at  
  the DKK within them following statuses:  
  HD-status A + B no restrictions.  
  HD-status C can only be breed to dogs with HD-status A or B.  
  HD-status D + E is not allowed to be used for breeding.  
  This restriction applies to all dogs in the breed.

 

 
  Demand for elbow-result:  
  can only be registered in DKK for pedigree, as long as both parents, before the mating, has  
  had their elbows x-rayed and have an official AA-result registered at DKK.  

 
This restriction applies to all dogs in the breed.
 
 
  New restriction as of September 1st 2008.

 

 
  Demand for heartscan:  
  Offspring can only be registered in DKK for pedigree, as long as both parents, before the mating,  
 
 
have an official SAS-result registered at DKK.
 
 
  The scan can be made no earlier than when the dog is 18 months and will have to be made  
  within the protocol of the EKKO-group.  
  This restriction does not apply for foreing dogs mated to a DKK registered dog.  
     
  As of September 1st 2008 this restriction applies to all DKK registrered dogs in the breed.
